Defenseman Brogan Rafferty skated in his first season with the Griffins and accumulated 29 points (4-25—29), eight penalty minutes and a plus-three rating in 62 regular-season games. He then went on to pace the team’s defensemen with four points (0-4—4) and a plus-six rating in nine postseason outings. His 25 assists during the regular season ranked first among defensemen on the Griffins, while his plus-six rating in the postseason tied for sixth among the AHL’s blueliners.

By the Numbers 

13 – Made his Griffins debut on Oct. 13 against the Colorado Eagles.   

200 – Collected an assist during his 200th game as a professional on Oct. 20 at the Colorado Eagles. He later competed in his 200th AHL game on Oct. 28 at the Rockford IceHogs.       

4 – Scored his first goal as a Griffin on Nov. 4 at the Milwaukee Admirals, which turned out to be the game-winner.  

250 – Scored a goal in his 250th game as a pro on March 20 at the Manitoba Moose. He then skated in his 250th AHL contest on March 30 at the Milwaukee Admirals. 

150 – Bagged his 150th point as a pro with an assist on April 17 at the Iowa Wild. 

2 – Scored two game-winners throughout the regular season, which set a new career high (Nov. 4 at MIL, April 3 vs. CHI).

3 – Tied a career best with three assists on Dec. 29 at the Chicago Wolves.  

8 – His eight penalty minutes in the regular season were the fewest he has occurred in this pro career.      

9 – Failed to score on just his second-career shootout attempt on Feb. 9 against the Manitoba Moose.   

3 – Tied a career-high three-game assist streak on two separate occasions from Nov. 17-24 and from March 8-12. 

4 – Finished with a season-best plus-four rating on Dec. 29 at the Chicago Wolves.    

3 – Enjoyed three multi-point outings this season on Dec. 29 at the Chicago Wolves (0-3—3), Jan. 19 at the Manitoba Moose (1-1—2) and on April 3 against Chicago (1-1—2).     

5 – Recalled by the Detroit Red Wings five times from Jan. 13-31 but did not play a game in the NHL.
