2023-24 Player in Review: Amadeus Lombardi

Center Amadeus Lombardi skated in his first full season with the Griffins and notched 26 points (5-21—26), 14 penalty minutes and a plus-five rating in 70 regular-season games. He ranked among the team’s rookie leaders in goals (T3rd), assists (T1st), points (3rd), plus-minus rating (2nd) and games played (2nd). Lombardi bagged his first goal as a professional on Nov. 10 against the Toronto Marlies.  

The 21-year-old then posted one goal, two penalty minutes and a minus-two rating in eight postseason games, scoring in his Calder Cup Playoffs debut on April 27 at the Rockford IceHogs.

By the Numbers 

3 – Finished the year with 26 points, which ranked third among the team’s rookies, while his five goals tied for third among the roster’s first-year players. 

10 – Scored his first goal as a professional on Nov. 10 against the Toronto Marlies. 

27 – Made his Calder Cup Playoffs debut on April 27 at the Rockford IceHogs, scoring the game-tying goal with 4:25 remaining in regulation in a 3-2 overtime victory.  

2 – Competed in 70 regular-season games and ended with a plus-five rating, which were both good for second on the team among rookies.

1 – His 21 assists in the regular season tied Marco Kasper for first on the team among first-year players.     

18 – Collected his lone power-play goal of the campaign on Nov. 18 at the Texas Stars.

4 – Went 1-for-4 on shootout attempts through the season, scoring his first pro shootout goal on Feb. 9 against the Manitoba Moose. 

3 – Season-high three-game point streak from Nov. 1-10 (1-2—3).  

2 – Enjoyed two assists on Dec. 15 against the Texas Stars, which marked his first multi-point outing as a professional. He then went on to record another two assists on April 5 against the Rockford IceHogs and on April 14 at the Chicago Wolves.  

4 – Registered an assist in back-to-back games on four occasions from Nov. 1-4 (0-2—2), Jan. 5-6 (0-2—2), Feb. 10-13 (0-2—2) and from April 3-5 (0-3—3). 

76 – Posted 76 shots throughout the regular season and finished the campaign with a 6.6 shooting percentage.
