Defenseman Albert Johansson skated in his second season with the Griffins and notched 21 points (6-15—21), 46 penalty minutes and a plus-seven rating in 66 regular-season games. The 23-year-old posted career-high numbers in games played, goals, assists, points, plus-minus rating and penalty minutes this season. He then logged three assists and eight penalty minutes in nine postseason outings, making his Calder Cup Playoffs debut on April 27 at the Rockford IceHogs.

By the Numbers 

1 – He posted career-high totals during the regular season in games played (66), goals (6), assists (15), points (21), plus-minus rating (+7), penalty minutes (46) and game-winners (1). 

27 – Made his Calder Cup Playoffs debut on April 27 at the Rockford IceHogs.    

7 – His plus-seven rating paced the team’s defensemen and ranked fifth among all skaters on the Griffins.  

5 – Collected first Calder Cup Playoffs point with an assist on May 5 at the Rockford IceHogs. He finished the postseason with three assists in nine appearances.  

200 – Posted an assist during his 200th game as a professional on Oct. 13 against the Colorado Eagles. 

31 – Enjoyed his first two-goal game in North America on Dec. 31 against the Cleveland Monsters.

100 – Skated in his 100th game as a Griffin on March 8 against the Chicago Wolves.   

250 – Suited up for his 250th game as a pro on March 16 against the Iowa Wild.  

6 – Was sidelined for six straight games from Oct. 28-Nov. 15 due to rehabbing an injury.     

3 – Registered three multi-point outings throughout the season (Dec. 1 versus Milwaukee, Dec. 5 at Toronto, Dec. 31 against Cleveland).  

2 – Tied his career single-game high of two assists on Dec. 1 against the Milwaukee Admirals.

2 – Amassed an assist in consecutive games from Dec. 5-8 and from Dec. 19-20.   

21 – Scored his first-ever AHL game-winner on Feb. 21 against the Texas Stars in a 1-0 victory.    

3 – Accumulated three two-game point streaks from Dec. 5-8, Dec. 19-20 and from Feb. 21-24, which were all tied for his season best point run.

4 – Four penalty minutes on Oct. 20 at the Colorado Eagles and on March 20 at the Manitoba Moose both tied a career high for a single game.   

100 – His 100 shots throughout the regular season set a new career best, beating out his previous 56 shots in 2022-23.  

2 – Logged an assist in back-to-back outings in the Calder Cup Playoffs from May 5-15.
