2018-19 in Review: Tyler Spezia
Rookie forward Tyler Spezia contributed 39 points in 58 games with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye and tallied two points in eight games with the Griffins while making his AHL debut.

12 – Spezia helped lead the Walleye to their first appearance in the Kelly Cup Finals after skating in all 24 Kelly Cup Playoff games. He tied for seventh on Toledo and 19th in the ECHL in Kelly Cup Playoff scoring with 12 points (3-9—12).
8 – The 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward made his AHL debut with the Griffins on Dec. 16 at Rockford, the same day he joined the team on a professional tryout contract. He went on to skate in eight games with the club over three different stints and chipped in two points (1-1—2). Spezia’s first goal on Dec. 22 at Manitoba proved to be the game-winner and he assisted on the game-tying goal on Jan. 23 vs. Manitoba.
39 – Spezia led all Walleye rookie skaters with 39 points and 28 assists. He made his ECHL debut on Oct. 12 at Greenville and picked up an assist in the same game. His inaugural ECHL goal came on Nov. 3 vs. Idaho.
+9 – Spezia’s +9 rating tied for second on Toledo.
6 – Spezia logged a season-high six-game point streak from Jan. 11-31, collecting seven points (4-3—7) in that stretch. He also netted a four-game goal streak during the span, another season high.
