Mobile Ticketing Guide

The Grand Rapids Griffins will deliver all tickets in mobile format for display on smartphones and other electronic devices without needing a separate app. Click or tap below to read more on how to save, manage, and use your tickets this year:

Overview

WHAT ARE MOBILE TICKETS?
Mobile tickets are delivered in a Passbook or Digital Wallet format specifically designed for smartphones. Mobile tickets are emailed directly to you immediately after purchase. You will receive two emails after your purchase - one will be your tickets that can be scanned on your smartphone or added to Passbook, and the second email will be your order confirmation email, which does not include actual tickets.

DELIVERY
Once tickets are viewable, the ticket office will email you a link to log in at griffinshockey.com/account. You will be able to select the designated game.

ADD
Click on the button to add to your digital wallet before leaving home. It is recommended that you save your tickets on your phone to ensure quick and easy access to your tickets when at the gates.

MANAGE
If you can’t attend the event, you can transfer your tickets to friends and family directly from your phone.

PRESENT
Pull up your mobile ticket via the Apple Wallet or Google Pay app. As you approach the gate, place your phone near a reader to scan. Each mobile ticket should be kept secure and treated like any other valid ticket.

Tickets
Your mobile tickets will be delivered via email or text, depending on your selection during checkout.

Email Delivery: The link to download your tickets will be sent in an email from tickets@griffinshockey.com with the subject line “Your Griffins Mobile Tickets”.

Text Delivery: The link to download your tickets will be sent in a text message.

We strongly recommend adding your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay account before departing for the arena on game day.

You can transfer your tickets to anyone with an internet connection! Here’s how:

1.) Log in to your My Tickets account here.
2.) In the My Tickets section, click Transfer Tickets.
3.) Select the game and tickets you want to Transfer.
4.) Choose your desired delivery format: Mobile Delivery

6.) Forward the email containing the link to download the ticket(s) to your guest!

Please know that all previous versions of that ticket are no longer valid once your guest accepts the ticket.

The Grand Rapids Griffins feature contactless ticket scanning to help fans enter more quickly on game day. Here’s how easy it is to use your digital tickets:

2.) As you approach the ticket scanners, pull out your smartphone and open your Apple Wallet or Google Pay app.
3.) Tap on the appropriate ticket and hold your phone near the icon on the ticket scanner or scan the unique QR code.

Why did we transition to mobile tickets?
Mobile ticketing provides a safe, secure, and convenient ticketing environment for Griffins fans.

  • No more losing tickets in the mail, forgetting your tickets at home, or bringing the wrong tickets
  • Easily manage your tickets via your online ticket account
  • Enjoy simple, contactless entry into the arena
  • Never worry about having fraudulent tickets again

What are mobile tickets?
Mobile Tickets are similar to traditional event tickets, but they are easier to use and more secure. You simply add your ticket(s) to your smartphone's Apple Wallet or Google Pay app and easily access them when you arrive at the arena. You will see a QR code that will be scanned for admittance.

How do I manage my tickets? Can I manage my tickets on my computer instead of my mobile device?
Managing your tickets is easy through your ticket account. Log in using your account number or email address to re-issue, transfer, or post your tickets for resale on Seat Geek. Your ticket account can be accessed on any device (smartphone, computer, or tablet) with a working internet connection.

Why did I receive two emails?
After your ticket purchase, you will receive two separate emails. The first will be your confirmation email, laying out the details of your purchase. The second will contain digital tickets to download to your Apple Wallet or (Android) Google Pay mobile device.

Can I print my Mobile tickets?
No. Mobile tickets are not meant to be printed, and a printed Mobile ticket will likely not scan at the gate. If so, you will be sent to the box office for assistance.

What if I cannot find the email to which the tickets were delivered?
Tickets are emailed from tickets@griffinshockey.com with the subject line: “Your Mobile Tickets Have Arrived.” If you delete or can no longer find the email, log in to your ticket account to re-issue tickets to yourself.

Why have I not received my tickets yet?
1. Make sure you have used the correct email address.
2. Check your junk or spam mail folder.
3. Adjust your spam guard and junk mail settings to receive emails with attachments.
4. Add our email address, tickets@griffinshockey.com, to your list of trusted email addresses.
5. Please allow at least 1 hour for your emails to arrive.

First-Time User Activation: I can’t find my PIN; how do I access my online account?
Every ticketing account has a PIN assigned to it. This number allows a customer to activate his/her online ticketing account. PINs are only used the first time a customer activates an online ticketing account. Once the online account is established, future account sign-ins are made with the customer-selected password.

If you have never activated your online account and cannot find your PIN, please call us at (616) 774-4585, chat online, or email us at griff@griffinshockey.com. If you have activated your online account and cannot remember your password, you can have the password sent to your registered email address.

Will parking be mobile as well?
The Grand Rapids Griffins will not be delivering physical parking passes. More information on accessing, managing, and using your parking pass(es) will be released soon.

Can I have multiple tickets on the same mobile device?
Yes, you can swipe through your available tickets at the venue if the entire party is present. However, if your party enters at different gates/times, you must send each attendee their ticket.

What if I do not have an iPhone or Android mobile device?
You can visit the box office on the event day to receive printed tickets after showing a valid ID or make prior arrangements with the Griffins ticket office by calling (616) 774-4585.

Can I still print my tickets at home?
No, while all tickets will be delivered as Mobile tickets, they are meant to be stored on your mobile device. If you need printed tickets, you can visit the box office on the event day to receive printed tickets after showing a valid ID or make prior arrangements with the Griffins ticket office by calling (616) 774-4585.

How do I enter the stadium using mobile tickets?
As you approach the pedestal ticket scanners, pull out your smartphone and open your Apple Wallet or Google Pay app. Next, tap the appropriate ticket and hold your phone to the ticket scanner. Finally, swipe left or right to scan any additional tickets you have for the game.

What if I cannot get service or Wi-Fi at the arena?
We strongly recommend adding your tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay account before departing for the arena. Once the tickets are in your Apple Wallet or Google Pay account, you do not need an internet connection to pull them up and scan them into the arena.

What if my guests and I arrive at different times/use different entrances?
If your guests are entering separately, you will need to transfer their tickets so that they may download them and enter at their own convenience.

What if my mobile ticket will not scan properly?
Make sure that your screen brightness is turned up all the way. If you continue to have issues scanning your tickets, please visit a Ticket Resolution window.

What if my mobile device battery dies, breaks, or is lost?
If you have issues on game day, visit a Ticket Resolution window for assistance.

I still have questions that are not answered above: who do I talk to?
Please get in touch with the Griffins Ticket Office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - to 5:00 p.m. by phone (616) 774-4585, by email at griff@griffinshockey.com, or chat with us by clicking the chat button below for further assistance.
