GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - As a thank you to the fans who gave them their largest attendance in four years during 2006-07, the Grand Rapids Griffins have drastically reduced the prices of their full-season ticket packages for the 2007-08 season. Fans who purchase a full-season ticket will save an average of 33 percent off the single-game ticket price and an average of more than $160 off the cost of last year’s full-season packages.

Along with substantially lower prices, the Griffins are offering an array of new benefits for both existing and new full-season ticket holders, including: the opportunity to purchase Detroit Red Wings single-game tickets before they are sold to the general public; four flex vouchers per seat, allowing holders to bring a friend; early admission to celebrity appearances and giveaways; ticket exchanges on selected Saturdays; discounted food and parking packages; 120 days same-as-cash financing through Lake Michigan Credit Union; and a personalized ID card offering discounts on goods and services from local businesses and restaurants.

In addition, the popular $199 Hot Seat section has expanded seven rows closer to the action, while previous season ticket benefits will be maintained for the new ticket packages.

Pricing for 2007-08 full-season ticket packages is as follows:

Section - Season Ticket Game Price - Single Ticket Game Price - Package Price
Rinkside - $19 - $25 - $836
Club - $15 - $20 - $660
Corners - $11 - $17 - $484
Upper Bowl (A-C) - $11 - $15 - $484
Upper Bowl (D-R) - $9 - $13 - $396
Hot Seat - $5 - $13 - $199

For more information about full-season tickets, please click here or call the Griffins office at (616) 774-4585.

Prices have also decreased for the 20-game, 10-game, five-game and FLEX ticket mini plans, which will go on sale Aug. 20. Fans looking to renew their plans or those wishing to purchase new plans can sign up for the Game Plan Priority Seating list by clicking here or calling the ticket sales department at ext. 3024 or 3020.

Beginning Aug. 6, Griffins ticket sales representatives will call all priority seating registrants, starting with those interested in 20-game plans, to reserve their seats before the plans go on sale to the general public.

The slashing of season ticket prices follows a banner year for attendance for the Griffins in 2006-07. A total of 274,657 fans packed Van Andel Arena, marking the team’s largest attendance since the 2002-03 season and placing it seventh overall in the American Hockey League at 6,866 per game. Spurred by eight sellouts and 10 crowds in excess of 10,000, the Griffins’ attendance increased 4.9 percent over their 2005-06 total of 261,907.
