Open Season
The Griffins have won six regular season meetings in a row overall against the Moose and outscored them 22-6 in that stretch. Dating to an April 5, 2017, overtime win in Winnipeg, the Griffins have claimed six consecutive regular season contests at Manitoba with a 20-5 goal advantage.

Status Update
Thanks to their current five-game point streak, the Griffins have climbed above the 0.500 mark for the first time this season. Grand Rapids has also won three straight overall and three consecutive on the road. Tonight, the Griffins wrap up their two-game set at Manitoba and their three-game road trip before returning to Van Andel Arena for a four-game homestand. Grand Rapids starts the stretch on Wednesday against the Rockford IceHogs in the team’s 18th Annual School Day Game at 11 a.m.

High Five
The Griffins are on a five-game point streak (4-0-0-1) and a three-game winning streak, both of which are season highs. During the five-game run, Grand Rapids is averaging 3.8 GF, 2.0 GA, 34.4 SF and 26.6 SA. In the third period alone over the last five, the Griffins are outscoring opponents by a 13-3 margin. Goaltender Patrik Rybar is 2-0-1 during the current stretch while Harri Sateri is 2-0 and the two have combined for a 0.932 save percentage. The Griffins have allowed the game’s first goal in four of the last five games, and the one time they did score the opening goal was the one time Grand Rapids was not victorious (Nov. 2 vs. IA, 2-3 SOL).

Road Reversal
After dropping their first four road games and being outscored 17-5 in that stretch, the Griffins have won three straight on foreign ice with a 15-6 scoring edge. During this three-game road winning streak, Grand Rapids is outgunning its home opponent during the third period 11-1, including scoring nine final-period goals in the last two games.

No Shots For You
Grand Rapids has surrendered more than 30 shots just twice through the season’s first 12 games and ranks fourth in the AHL in shots against (26.3). The Griffins have outshot nine of 12 opponents so far.

Add Rybar for Support
Goaltender Patrik Rybar (pronounced REE-bar) has points in his last three starts (2-0-1), showing a 1.30 GAA and a 0.944 save percentage in that span. He picked up his first victory on North American soil in his second career start on Oct. 27 in Belleville after stopping 21 of 22 shots. The 25-year-old led the Czech Extraliga in both GAA (1.73) and shutouts (7) in 36 games with Hradec Kralove last season.

Terr-ing It Up
The AHL’s leading scorer from a season ago, Chris Terry shows back-to-back multi-point games for the first time this season and has accumulated four points (3-1—4) between last Sunday’s win at Cleveland (1-1—2) and Thursday’s triumph at Manitoba (2-0—2). Terry shows five goals among six points in the last five games. He is Grand Rapids’ leader in goals (7) and ties for second in points (10).

Happy Camper
First-year Griffin Carter Camper has two consecutive multi-point games for the first time in the campaign and shows nine points (1-8—9) in his last seven games. He paces the team in both points (11) and assists (9) and ties for the most multi-point outings (4).

Puemped Up
Second-year Griffin Matt Puempel picked up his fourth multi-point game of the season following a goal and an assist effort in Thursday’s win to tie Carter Camper for the most on the team. He has four points (1-3—4) in the last three outings, ties for second overall on the team in points (10) and ranks second in goals (5).

Z-Score

The sixth overall selection in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by Detroit, Filip Zadina is on a season-high three-game point streak, collecting four points (2-2—4) in that span. He ties for third on the team in goals (4) and places fourth in points (8). The 18-year-old is the highest Red Wings draft pick ever to suit up for the Griffins. Only three players in Griffins history were drafted higher than No. 6: Jason Spezza (No. 2 by Ottawa in 2001), Darrin Shannon (No. 4 by Pittsburgh in 1988) and Stephen Weiss (No. 4 by Florida in 2001). Dylan Larkin (selected 15th overall in the 2014 Draft) was the previous highest Red Wings draft selection to play for Grand Rapids.

Similar Sateri
Goaltender Harri Sateri has won three of his last four starts after dropping three of his first four to begin the campaign. This follows a similar trend from last season for Sateri when he was with Springfield, as he opened the year with five consecutive losses before claiming his next five outings.

Pick Ehn Up Points
Skating in his first season in North America, Christoffer Ehn had his streak of back-to-back multi-point outings snapped in Thursday’s victory. Detroit’s third choice, 106th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Ehn also has one assist in 10 games with the Red Wings this season. He was recalled by the Wings on Tuesday, skated in that night’s 3-2 shootout victory against Vancouver, and then was assigned back to Grand Rapids on Wednesday. By appearing in Tuesday’s game, Ehn became the 173rd Griffins alumnus to play in the NHL.

This Date in Griffins History
2010:
Tom McCollum makes 23 saves to earn his first career shutout but his teammates are equally unable to solve Milwaukee netminder Mark Dekanich, as the Griffins suffer a 1-0 shootout loss in their 10th annual matinee game at Van Andel Arena.
2012: In a dramatic 5-3 comeback win at Peoria, the Griffins rally from 2-0 down and score the game-winner with less than three minutes left to move into first place in the Midwest Division with their fifth straight victory.
