Clinching Scenarios for Friday, April 12

Grand Rapids can clinch at least a tie for a playoff berth tonight with a regulation win at home over Milwaukee.

The Griffins can clinch an outright playoff berth with either an overtime win or shootout win against Milwaukee plus a Rockford regulation win against Chicago.

Grand Rapids can clinch both an outright playoff berth and a tie for the Midwest Division title with a regulation win over Milwaukee plus a Rockford regulation win against Chicago.

If The Season Ended Today...

#3 Grand Rapids would face #6 Oklahoma City in the best-of-five Western Conference Quarterfinals. It would mark the teams' first-ever meeting in the postseason.

The Griffins and Barons met four times this season, with each team winning twice on its home ice. Grand Rapids prevailed on Jan. 4 (5-2) and Jan. 23 (5-4 SO) at Van Andel Arena, before Oklahoma City answered with victories on Feb. 8 (3-4) and Feb. 9 (5-7) at the Cox Convention Center.
