BLASHILL AND CHELIOS RING THEIR COMPETITION'S BELLS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins and Detroit Red Wings legend Chris Chelios raised a total of $784.73 for The Salvation Army on Tuesday during their three-hour bell-ringing stint at the Kentwood Family Fare at 60th and Kalamazoo Ave.
The team of Chelios and Griffins head coach Jeff Blashill not only easily won its 2-3 p.m. battle with assistant coaches Jim Park and Spiros Anastas by a whopping $435.95 to $30.45 margin, but it also raised more than all the Griffins assistant coaches and players combined.
