2023-24 Player in Review: Radim Simek
Defenseman Radim Simek skated in his first season with the Griffins after being traded to the Detroit Red Wings from the San Jose Sharks with a 2024 seventh-round pick for left wing Klim Kostin on March 8. He accumulated one assist and an even plus-minus rating in nine regular-season games with Grand Rapids on top of producing 16 points (4-12—16), 29 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating in 40 outings as captain of the San Jose Barracuda. Simek added two assists, four penalty minutes and a plus-five rating in eight postseason outings with the Griffins.
