Starting with Grand Rapids' season-ending roster then adding recent signees to the organization, here are the players who could play for the Griffins next season, unless they make the Red Wings’ roster or are assigned to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye. (Note: This list excludes all 2019-20 Detroit players who were not eligible for the Griffins’ playoff roster.)

Four players from the 2019-20 Griffins will become restricted free agents. The Red Wings can retain their rights by extending qualifying offers, while those not receiving qualifying offers will become unrestricted free agents.
