GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – What a week it’s been for the Grand Rapids Griffins, who clinched their second Calder Cup in five seasons on June 13. To recap…

The puck drops on the third period in Game 6 with the Griffins trailing 3-2. Grand Rapids had rallied from a one-goal deficit against Syracuse in both Games 1 and 2.


June 13 | 9:12 p.m.

Tyler Bertuzzi becomes the Griffins’ all-time playoff leader when he notches his 23rd career postseason goal at 3:50 of the third period and ties the game 3-3.

June 13 | 9:31 p.m.
Martin Frk, who led the Griffins in the regular season with 27 goals, scores his fifth tally of the postseason with 7:19 remaining and gives Grand Rapids a 4-3 lead.

Bertuzzi is awarded the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as the 2017 playoff MVP. He finishes the postseason tied for sixth in the AHL in scoring and tied for third on the team with 19 points (9-10—19).
