Game 5 - SYR 5, GR 2

Behind a 40-save performance by Cedrick Desjardins on Saturday, the Syracuse Crunch guaranteed that the 2013 Calder Cup champion will be determined on their home ice. But despite a 5-2 loss at Van Andel Arena, the Griffins will take a 3-2 series lead back to the Onondaga County War Memorial for Game 6 on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Game 4 - SYR 3, GR 2

The Syracuse Crunch lifted themselves off the mat and extended the Calder Cup Finals with a 3-2 victory over the Griffins in Game 4 at Van Andel Arena on Friday. The Griffins held a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes, but second-period tallies by Ondrej Palat and Richard Panik forced a Game 5 that will be played on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena.

Game 3 - GR 4, SYR 2

Jeff Hoggan set up the game-winning goal with 4:49 remaining and scored an insurance tally with 2:28 left to put the Griffins within one win of a Calder Cup championship. Wednesday’s 4-2 win over the Syracuse Crunch – the Griffins’ fourth straight and sixth in their last seven games – set up a potential title-clinching contest on Friday, when Grand Rapids will host Game 4 of the Calder Cup Finals at 7 p.m. The game is already sold out.

The American Hockey League’s Calder Cup will appear at numerous locations throughout West Michigan this week as the Grand Rapids Griffins prepare to host as many as three straight Calder Cup Finals games against the Syracuse Crunch.
